Meet the Kawai CX302: A Sam's Club Exclusive

If you're shopping for a digital piano that feels and sounds like the real thing and comes ready to play, the Kawai CX302 was made for you. It's available only to Sam's Club members.
For nearly a century, Kawai has built pianos for concert halls, conservatories, and living rooms around the world. The CX302 brings that expertise into a home instrument. It's the top model in Kawai's new CX line, and it's available only at Sam's Club. In Japan, it won the 2025 Music Retailers' Award grand prize in the keyboard category.

A Real Piano Feel, Not Just Weighted Keys

The first thing most people want to know about a digital piano is whether it feels real. The CX302 uses Kawai's Responsive Hammer Compact II action. Real hammers inside give each key the weight and bounce of an acoustic piano. The keys are heavier in the bass and lighter in the treble, just like a grand.

Three sensors under every key read how you play, so fast repeated notes and soft passages come through clearly. The Ivory Touch keys have a smooth, natural feel under your fingers. A quiet key design cuts down the tapping sound of the keys themselves, so practice won't bother the rest of the house.

The Sound of a Concert Grand

Every note of the CX302 is recorded from the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX, Kawai's flagship concert grand. Top pianists choose this instrument at international competitions. All 88 keys are recorded individually in stereo, so each note keeps its own natural character.
On a real grand, strings ring together and blend. Kawai recreates that effect, so the tone stays rich and natural from a whisper-soft pianissimo to a full fortissimo. The CX302 can play up to 192 notes at once, so even heavily pedaled passages won't cut off.
Beyond the grand piano, you get 15 sounds in all, including electric pianos, organs, harpsichord, vibraphone, strings, and choir.

Sound That Fills the Room

Two large 12 cm speakers and a 40-watt amplifier fill a family room with sound. The speakers project from inside the cabinet and up through the top, so the whole piano seems to sing. A custom low-noise power adapter keeps the sound clean.
When you turn the volume down, Low Volume Balance automatically adjusts the touch and tone, so soft playing still feels smooth and natural.

Furniture-Quality Design

The CX302's rosewood cabinet is designed to look like fine furniture in a living room, family room, or home studio. The sliding key cover and folding music rest keep it neat when it's closed.
Dimensions: 53½" W × 16" D × 33½" H, 86 lbs. Assembly takes two people about 30 minutes.

Kawai CX302 Digital Piano

The Kawai CX302, a Sam's Club exclusive, brings the sound of a hand-built concert grand into your home. Its voice comes from the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX, recorded note by note in stereo across all 88 keys, so the tone opens up the way a real piano does — gentle under a light touch, full and ringing when you lean in. A 40-watt speaker system built into the cabinet lets that sound rise out of the instrument itself rather than blast from a pair of speakers, filling the room the way an upright would. Under your hands, the Responsive Hammer Compact II action is weighted like an acoustic piano, heavier in the bass and lighter in the treble, with three sensors under every key to catch fast repeated notes cleanly. Smooth Ivory Touch key surfaces stay comfortable through long practice sessions, and all three pedals respond to the subtlest half-pedaling. Built-in Bluetooth MIDI and audio connect you to learning apps or your own playlist with no adapters to buy, and two headphone jacks make late-night practice easy on the household. It arrives with a matching adjustable bench and a built-in three-pedal unit in a Premium Rosewood cabinet — everything you need to sit down and play.
