Position Summary
Kawai America Corporation is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Piano Technician to join our Technical Services team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates with foundational knowledge of acoustic piano mechanics who are eager to grow their skills in a professional manufacturing and product-support environment. The successful candidate will assist in evaluating, repairing, and servicing Kawai acoustic pianos, processing warranty claims, and providing responsive technical support to our dealer network.
Candidates should bring a meaningful foundation in piano technology — whether through formal training at an accredited piano technology program (such as North Bennett Street School or a comparable institution) or active pursuit of PTG membership toward the Registered Piano Technician credential. Kawai will build on that foundation with structured, hands-on training under the guidance of our senior technical staff, deepening your skills in Kawai-specific regulation, voicing, and service procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Piano Repair & Service
- Inspect, diagnose, and perform basic to intermediate repairs on Kawai acoustic pianos (upright and grand), including action regulation, voicing, and minor structural repairs.
