Shining brightly in our CA58 is the award-winning legacy of the “Concert Artist” line of Kawai digital pianos. Advanced features, such as our exclusive amplifier technologies and powerful multi-speaker configurations, abound in the CA58. The origin of its rich tonality is the Shigeru Kawai EX concert grand piano that was carefully sampled across all 88 keys to capture its expressive character. Our new “Grand Feel Compact” wooden-key keyboard action utilizes an ideal combination of materials, mechanics and motion to recreate the unrivaled touch and responsiveness of a fine grand piano. Sound categories, control functions, and instrument settings are easily accessed from the control panel buttons located conveniently on the keyboard side panel with large LCD display. Connect the CA58 with other devices via MIDI and USB, plus integrated Bluetooth® MIDI (wireless), to expand musical capabilities even further. Record, playback, and share WAV or MP3 files to enhance the playing experience. Unsurpassed musical flexibility and expression are made possible with Kawai’s CA58.

Awesome sound and amazing feel. I’m so impressed by this piano. I had Yamaha for years and recently switched to Kawai for the touch….amazing. Just buy one!

The Kawai CA58 gives an authentic piano experience at a good value. I tried the entire line of Kawai Concert Artist Series multiple times at a local Kawai dealer and found that I actually preferred this middle tier model compared to the upper end CA98 and CA78. I just couldn’t justify the price of the 78 and 98 when I could go out and find an upright acoustic for the same price range and the CA58 sounded pretty decent compared to the upper models.
The only thing I find it lacking is quality bass when playing music through the line in. This left me disappointed. But I mainly bought this as a substitute to a real piano and it definitely delivers on the tone for piano applications. The lower notes sound rich and natural. I may still add a cheap sub woofer to enhance the sound a bit to fill out the music when I use line in.

I have had the Kawai CA58 for about month, and I am delighted with this console digital piano. For a reasonable price, I now have a piano that sounds like a concert grand piano and has incredible action that can meet the demands of classical music. I tried many console digital pianos in the same price range and found that I could play trills and a repeated single note faster and cleaner on the Kawai CA58. Ultimately, I chose the Kawai CA58 because of the superior action, sound, all wood keys, ample recording features, and a beautiful (and sturdy) premium rosewood cabinet. It has exceeded my expectations.
