The MAV-8 was a 4×8 channel patchbay used in a MIDI set-up as a 19″ rack device. Each of its 8 outputs could be linked to any of its 4 inputs. With 3 MIDI inputs and 7 outputs on the rear panel, it was a flexible and inexpensive tool that helped MIDI musicians facilitate the growing array of MIDI instruments and devices availabe for the modern studio of its day.
